Balen-Rabi wins, But Despair Lingers in Air Regarding Nepal’s Future

The 2026 Nepal election is almost over with only few candidates left waiting final results. Rastriya Swatantra Party having won the bet, few other old and new political parties have been able to make their win in the vote battle.

Former Mayor Balen Shah, is all set to take vow for the new elected PM as the youngest PM ever in the world. The meteoritic fall of KP Sharma Oli’s defeat to Balen Shah is what the Gen-Z and Nepalese have been waiting for. This win has become festive mood for the public while a mixture of sadness till looming in the air, as per the bad reputation of RSP and it’s capitalistic members and chairman.

Hailing from the ruling class, most of the candidates in RSP have been found with quite a good kinship relation with other party members. Somewhere in the air, a mist of doubt lingers in the hearts and minds of those who blindly voted for RSP as an alternative to ruling old parties under trial and error philosophy.

One man said, ” I asked my family members to cast the vote to RSP, not because of their good reputation, but to avoid repeating the impact of bad reputation of major losing parties particularly Congress, Leninists, Marxist and Communist. I have three houses in Kathmandu, yet I am sad RSP will not be able to solve the problems, there will be price hike and poor will suffer the expense recovery of RSP.” He assumed the Marwaris were highly involved in helping RSP win the election with majority to take advantage of business and economy hegemony.

Though this is just a case and the man looked not only sad, but did make a stark remark on Balen and Rabi lacking the vision for Nepal and it’s children. “RSP is similar to other old rowdy ruling majority party,” he moaned ending with sip of tea with a remark, “The relatives of criminals and corrupted rulers are inside the party.”

One of the winners Biraj Bhakta Shrestha had his warning shared on the social media about “opening all the files of corruption since…….” During the tea chitchat time, when this topic was discussed, a man in late thirties in the table made a strong logic against such vile statement of Shrestha. “He must first take action against his own father-in-law Sharad Singh Bhandari, who is facing legal charges. His father-in-law always seeks ministerial position no matter who wins.”

Hence, fact and figures shows RSP is power sharing platform to the kins of ruling class and political goons from other major parties. This certain man did not hesitate to add, “If Shrestha wants to open files, he must start from his house and from his own party, or else he does not posses such legitimacy.” In a certain way, he is absolutely right.

And why not, the logic hits the bulls eye. The blind voters of RSP are not completely happy with the result though the loss of Oli tasted sweet as honey and mouth watering wine. A big feast after demon is killed by the god, as Ram kills the Ravana in the Hindu tales. Nobody knows if a festival gets birth out of the defeat of KP Sharma Oli by young Balen Shah, like Israelite David defeating the giant Philistine Goliath.

Some names worthy of mentioning are Harka Sampang, Suhang Nembang, Mahabir Pun and Prachanda. Such epic win has shocked RSP and their members. Comrade Prachanda roared like a old lion to be feared by rising young RSP winners and members not deserving the title comrade. Harka Sampang, blessed by soil of mother Nepal, still carries the soil, Mahabir wins with actual independent candidacy, while Suhang wins with good reputation.

One of the character, Gyanendra Shahi with great conmanship and scamming skill made a big win. This guy is the only black sheep out of other parties to win besides RSP candidates. It’s worth to remember, the guy was once a huge fan of RSP chairman Rabi Lamicchane, another skilled conman. Once anti royal, but now loyal to royal, challenging the ethics of democracy, secularism, federalism and republic, Shahi never gets embarrassed by his own nakedness, while other onlookers shut their eyes and cover their face with their fingers and palms.

The result shows, Nepal still has some good children. These children are pure clean fish among the dirty corrupted RSP flooding Nepal. The pure fish can swim and survive the dirty tide of RSP, challenging it’s corrupted rust and reputation. The pure fish show RSP that vandalizing, killing, plotting conspiracy, invoking propaganda and burning the Nepal’s property isn’t necessary to come to power and authority. The work, the ethic, the sincerity too have a place in hearts of Nepali people.

Populism has disillusioned the young bloods, with generation not knowing the leading past leaders and their ways, the responsibility will lie in their own heads when the sudden misfortune of bad decision hit them, as the time gets ripe. Celebrity politics in the era of social media and entertainment is what Nepal has just witnessed.

After the peoples movement and war by Maoist of Nepal, the Gen-Z movement followed by it’s pseudonym RSP will make another political transitional marking history in Nepal with bold letters with one big name Balen Shah surrounded by Harka Sampang and Mahabir Pun, whereas Prachanda and Rabi will be taken in a bit negative note. Yet still Prachanda lingers, with great survival story at a time when his contemporary KP Sharma Oli gets huge defeat and Sher Bahadur Deuba opts out of candidacy giving opportunity to emerging new leaders.

Despite all odds, RSP has created another history in Nepal’s politics followed by indigenous rise of Shram Sanskriti Party in the memory down the lane of future generations to come.

The latest win of SSP members and chairman is near to fulfilling the prediction of such research works of genius.

The time is coming when such whims and wits of RSP and other old parties will not work any more at the face of Jihadic representatives. The democracy is given a blow in it’s face. The communism is kicked in it’s belly. The identity, ethnicity, religion, race and color will matter most than anything, but are RSP and other old ruling parties and conservative RPP prepared to face the future coming tornado?
