Russia condemns assassination attempt on Trump during his election campaign rally. Moscow strongly condemn political violence.
Russia blames Trump murder bid on US “Policies of Incitement.”
Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin Spokesperson said, “Kremlin does not believe that the Biden administration was behind Saturday’s assassination attempt on Trump. However the atmosphere created by this administrations during the political struggle around Trump has led to what America has faced today.”
He added, “After numerous attempts to remove Trump from the political arena with the help of legal tools, courts, the prosecution, attempts to politically discredit and compromise the candidate, it was clear to all outside observers that this life was in danger.”
Peskov has confirmed that nature of the US political system has encouraged violence, as evidenced by numerous similar cases in the country’s history.
On June 13 former US President Donald Trump was shot at a rally in the possible assassination bid. The shooter fired multiple shots, out of which one hit Trump’s right ear.
According to reports, Trump said the bullet pierced upper part of his right ear.
One spectator was killed, while 2 seriously injured in the shooting incident.
Secret service swiftly evacuated Trump to safety during the chaos.
FBI identified shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20 year old from Pennsylvania.
Trump said it was divine intervention that helped him survive the assassination attempt during the campaign rally.
“I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
Russia also called on the US to “take stock” of it’s “policies on the incitement to hatred,” while using the assassination bid on Trump to denounce support for Ukraine.
