Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has chosen Tim Walsh as her vice presidential candidate.
Harris only on Tuesday named Walls, 60, as her vice presidential running mate.
Wallace is the governor of Minnesota.
It was only made public on Tuesday that Harris made him the vice-presidential candidate. On Tuesday, Walls and Harris appeared on the same stage.
A candidate running for President of the United States gets to choose anyone they want as Vice President. But the Vice President should be chosen before the election. If the presidential candidate wins the election, his vice presidential candidate is automatically elected.
Republican candidate Donald Trump has already selected James David (JD) Vance as his vice presidential running mate.
Walls, who called Trump and Vance ‘weird’, was Harris’ vice presidential candidate.
Vance’s popularity on social media, the support of the teachers’ federation, and his policies in Minnesota have been cited as reasons behind making Vance vice president.
It has also been claimed that more support will be gathered in favor of Harris after making Vance the vice president.
