Was the Pennsylvania shooting incident a revenge for Soleimani’s murder?

Washington DC. Donald Trump, the candidate of the Republican party for the presidential election to be held in the United States in November, was fatally attacked at an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. There are rumors of Iran’s involvement in the incident. It is said that Iran is trying to kill Trump to avenge the killing of Iranian army general Qassem Soleimani.

According to a CNN report, American officials were informed in recent weeks that Iran was plotting to assassinate former US President Trump. After this information came, the Secret Service increased the security around Trump. But so far, no connection has been found between the attack on Trump on July 13 and the Iranian conspiracy.

8 rounds were fired in that incident. One of these bullets grazed Trump’s right ear. In the process, two other people were seriously injured. The attacker was shot dead by security forces on the spot. Iran has denied this accusation against it.

Iran also called it malicious. Donald Trump is a criminal in the eyes of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He should be prosecuted in court and punished for ordering the killing of General Soleimani. Iran has chosen the legal way to bring Soleimani to justice. A spokesman for Iran’s permanent mission in America said that CNN printed the news. The US agency also received secret information about the Iranian plot to kill Trump.

Trump could be targeted by Iran

A US national security official said that the Secret Service and Trump’s campaign team had been briefed on the potential threat before the rally in Pennsylvania. Therefore, the Secret Service also tightened Trump’s security system. He said that all this happened before the fatal attack on him. American security officials have issued alerts from time to time that Iran may retaliate against Trump for ordering the killing of Soleimani in January 2020.

Secret Service officials had repeatedly warned Trump not to rally in the open. At the same time, questions are being raised about the Secret Service regarding Trump’s security lapses at the Pennsylvania rally. The 20-year-old boy was also criticized for how he reached the roof of the building near the rally to shoot at Trump.

Who was Qasim Soleimani?
