Just recently, BBC World Service and BBC Nepali has released a new documentary on Gen Z movements that escalated out of the social media ban by the then PM KP Sharma Oli, on his effort to indirectly put an end to Nepo baby trends under the pressure from his elite political and business alliances.
Despite the mixed reactions by the population, documentary gig not matching with the tune has garnered millions of views and widely spread debates and opinions regarding the uprising of misguided youths of Nepal through the mechanisms of Discord, a gaming space provided particularly to gamers for communication through various multimedia.
The present Gen Z have been thought of having low IQ than the previous generation, owe much of their unintelligence to violence conceived inside them through online games, entertainment and music industry in total. The political crisis within such violent gaming youngsters reached the peak, when they faced violence in reality. Despite the Viber still working for communication, Discord was the first choice of provoking Gen Z to cause uproar during the social media ban lift movement.
BBC Nepal, lacks the internal psychological problems the current youths are birthing through online and easy cash, and by contrast is found busy playing blame game towards the police, army and security forces.

The documentary is about 41 minutes long narration with vivid graphics highlighting the downside of authorities, who shot the rash and misguided Discord motivated youths.
Using only limited people for the interview repeatedly is not only boring, but brings the doubt on the credibility of the coverage. The deaths by shots were made more in coverage but not the ones that were bullet shot and living under hell in beds among the unruly voting environments of the then leaders including the new emerging goons in guise of political leaders promising of peace, security, rights and revenge.
The documentary targets the security forces, but not the indirect forces that provoked the mass towards destruction of national wealth and treasure. Such, confusing documentary has caused social media explode with titles that there was police order to shoot guns at the mass. There was no clear evidences anywhere in documentary except the one saying, the “force needs to be used when necessary.”
The question arises, was the documentary sponsored or was it a genuine effort of BBC towards the Gen Z lost lives.

Gen Z was suddenly a buzz word, spreading on the day of protest. Even the villagers, nursery kids and beggars started murmuring this term and it became chants of religious gurus, before that it was the term never heard by majority of Nepalese population.
Was it really the doing of Gen Z ? Were there only Gen Z to carry movement against the social media ban? The answer is quite obvious. No. Did only Gen Z die in the protest ? No, the other generations died too. It’s not only about Gen Z.
It’s strange Gen Z wants to own the movement against the social media ban. Is that fair?
The BBC documentary has one section where such Gen Z accept, “We are immature” in gaming Discord app. There is some truth in that.
Deep down somewhere, BBC documentary is limited to security forces, but it lacks the clear evidence of actual instruction circulation on the shooting.
With the voting and election on the way, this documentary endeavors for the successful elections hiding the political goons with the mask and putting the blame on security forces.
If it be the security forces, then
Why did the politicians run for safety?
Why were security forces too careful on protecting and evicting the political mafias in unknown safety areas?
Why was national wealth and treasure less important to security forces than the lives of politicians, whom so called Gen Z wanted to send them to funeral pyres?
The question remains, how did politicians and security forces know the end of lives of politicians were by near if not relocated to safety?
Now, that BBC has said the security forces targeted Gen Z and killed them, somewhere out there in a election campaigns, political goons are having a safe haven.
The other problem with the documentary is that its quite feministic tone. Only one female Gen Z activist taken for interview neglecting the near death survived male youths. The poster where a young girl is shown shouting the uprising keeping every males at bay. But it was more males that died and more males on the streets during protest.
