‘140 crore Indians are worried about the Hindus of Bangladesh’, PM Modi said- hope the situation will return to normal soon

Independence Day 2024 Prime Minister Narendra Modi has raised the issue of Hindus of Bangladesh for the second time in a week. On Thursday, on the 78th Republic Day, PM Modi said that 140 crore Indians are concerned about the Hindus of Bangladesh. He said that India is committed to peace. The PM expressed hope that the situation in Bangladesh will return to normal soon.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed hope that the situation in violence-hit Bangladesh will soon return to normal. He said 140 crore Indians are concerned about the safety of Hindus and minorities in the neighbouring country. In his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort, Modi said India is committed to peace and will remain Bangladesh’s well-wisher in its development journey.

Things will be normal soon

Modi said that as a neighbouring country it is natural for us to be concerned about what has happened in Bangladesh. I hope that the situation there will return to normal soon. In particular, the concern of 140 crore countrymen is that the safety of Hindus and minorities there should be ensured.

PM Modi said that India always wants the neighbouring country to move forward on the path of peace and prosperity. This comment of the Prime Minister is being considered as a sign of India’s readiness to work with the new government of Bangladesh. The PM said, in the coming days, our good wishes will remain in the development journey of Bangladesh because we are people who think about the welfare of mankind.

For the second time in a week, the PM expressed concern

This is the second time in the last one week that Modi has expressed concern over the situation of minorities in Bangladesh. While congratulating Muhammad Yunus after he took over as the head of the interim government of Bangladesh on August 8, Modi had called upon him to ensure the safety of Hindus and other minorities.
